Past and Future Explorers — Social Skills Community Class August 12, 13 & 14 9 am -2 pm Time to suit up, Explorers! Past and Future Explorers is an inclusive, time-travel themed community class where children of all abilities journey through history and leap into the future—all while building essential social skills. From ancient civilizations to disco dance floors and beyond the stars, every stop on this adventure is packed with creativity, curiosity, and connection. Skills Across Time (aka What We’re Learning and embracing): • Self-regulation and managing big emotions • Turn-taking and respectful conversation • Problem-solving and teamwork • Navigating transitions between activities • Building confidence and group participation • Embracing unique perspectives—past, present, and future! Travel Through Time: Each day, young explorers will step into a new era with interactive, themed activities designed to encourage social growth through fun and play. Time eras include: Day 1) Prehistoric Times – Dino digs, fossil hunts, and cave painting Ancient Egypt & Greece – Pyramid building, mythology games, Olympic teamwork Medieval Times – Castle crafts, dragon quests, and royal role-play Day 2) 1970s – Tie-dye art, disco dancing, peace signs, and lava lamp vibes 1980s – Retro arcade challenges, boombox beats, neon fashion, and team games 1990s – DIY slap bracelets, mix-tape crafts, Tamagotchi-inspired teamwork Day 3) Future Worlds – The Year 3025 – Imagine future cities, futuristic inventions, and intergalactic missions! Creative Connections: With crafts, sensory play, games, storytelling, and music from each era, kids explore not just time periods—but how to communicate, collaborate, and connect across different settings. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: Privately Paid Social Skills- A seven-day notice prior to the start of the Social Skills program is required to receive a refund. Self-Direction Payment Policy: As a good-faith measure, a seven-day notice is expected if your child cannot attend the Social Skills program. If a child does not attend the program or is unable to participate on any given day that you signed up for under self direction- the parent will be responsible for a $30 no show-cancellation fee/day - if not given within seven days of said program. We are not allowed to bill self direction if you child does not show up for a program. **********Important Note: If you are unable to attend a program you signed up for, please send a new message to inform us. Do not reply to text reminders, as we are unable to view those responses. Thank you for your understanding!
