Tween and Teen Night @Sensational Fun

Service Description

Friday, March 21, 6:30-8:30pm @ Sensational Fun in Orchard Park! Dive into an evening of fun with games, and socializing at Sensational Fun, an inclusive event tailored for tween and teens of all abilities. DROP OFF your teens (ages 10+) for some karaoke, dancing, winter crafts, music trivia, games, and good old-fashioned time for them to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. An Occupational Therapist and the D'Youville OT students run the class. While utilizing our occupational therapist background and framework, we will guide and teach your tween/teen the following: Zones of Regulation: Use this to help teens label and manage their emotions during social situations. Executive Functioning: Build activities that target planning, impulse control, and flexible thinking. Role-Play: Help participants understand perspectives, nonverbal cues, and conversation flow. The design of our space automatically addresses sensory integration, which includes a calming room and vestibular equipment to help regulate their sensory needs. COST: $35-snack will be provided.
